LET'S BE SOCIAL, Y'ALL
Squanchtendo has a new Producer y’all!
Matty Studivan not only worked on Rock Band, but was in ACTUAL rock bands, the most recent being “Radio Control” that he founded with his wife. Somehow he resisted the temptation to put “Rock Star” on his resume despite his legitimate claim to the title.
You might remember a little blog post we did a while back about some of the crazy amazing art people sent us when we announced our studio? One of those fine fellows, Jeremy Behm, recently became our new Junior 3D Artist!
Looking at his portfolio, it’s hard to imagine that this is Logan Wagoner’s first job making video games. Thankfully, our Lead Artist Mikey Spano saw some of his art hanging in a local restaurant in Raleigh and stole him away from his former cubicle life.
Our new Senior Concept Designer James McDermott may be a noob to the game industry, but he has some pretty incredible credentials in the animation world. James has formerly worked for Adult Swim, Disney, FOX, Nickleodeon, TBS and Starz; sharing his talents as Art Director on Disney’s Future Worm and with Justin Roiland on Rick and Morty season 1 and 2.
Our newest Game Designer, Sarah Doukakos, has an impressive array of powers and abilities. She puts a lot of points in strength, agility and intelligence. Her uncanny ability to detect the presence of a spider nearby also comes in handy at the office
Squanchtendo’s newest Programmer Kevin Liao is a self- described “generic asian guy, 6'1, has bad vision, loves coffee/tea”. A “normal nerd”. We’ve read enough comic books to know that he’s hiding a secret identity.
Our new Senior Animator John Beauchemin has left his mark on a variety of games and studios over the years. He shipped over 15 games at THQ alone and then went on to do freelance work for several other studios including Irrational Games and Harmonix.
Are VR headsets really made of horse parts? Who is the VR Man and why is there corn under your pillow? Will using VR cause pregnancy? These questions and more are finally answered in Justin Roiland's VRLA 2017 Keynote "The State of Address of VR: Present, Past and Future"
We're looking for Unreal Engine programmers! Take a look to to see if you could be a fit for our open gameplay programming position for VR games.
Squanchtendo’s Technical Director (he prefers “Feature Creep Guy”), Jeff Dixon comes to us from Riot Games where he was a Senior Software Engineer on the little-known MOBA, League of Legends. Jeff has worked on over 20 titles across consoles, handhelds, and PC. His first industry interview was at Looking Glass, where he demoed an early version of System Shock.
